Join us for a walk around the Beers Cemetery (also known as the Smith-Layn Cemetery) on Bristol Road. With just 45 known burials, this is one of Monkton’s smallest cemeteries, with gravestones perched high on the hill. The earliest burials are from the early 1800s. We will “meet” some of the people buried there, talk about the style of gravestones, and how to safely clear older stones. Wear sturdy shoes!
