Leon Bushey
This collection of genealogies was compiled by Leon Bushey [1896-1986], long-time town clerk for Monkton. Leon was one of the authors of the History of Monkton, Vermont, published in 1961, available for sale on this site. Mr. Bushey intended to publish an updated version of this history in 1977, but this updated history was never published. The research done by Mr. Bushey is amazing. He had the benefit of deep knowledge of the town and its people.

John Burbank
John Burbank, a retired minister who lives just south of us in Bristol, Vt, has shared the genealogies he has prepared for Monkton families. John has Monkton roots, and he is an excellent researcher. His Monkton family records were originally started by his aunt, Ruth Dean Hathaway and his sister-in-law, Bertha Brown Hanson to which he has added much more data.
